Biography

Vulcan was born in Laval, Quebec.[27] He first played professionally in the HTC Ascension tournament with DatZit Gaming Fire. He stuck with the team for much of the next year, competing in qualifier tournaments for the North American Challenger Series. After failing to reach the challenger scene, Vulcan joined CLG Black as a substitute and remained with the team after they renamed to CLG Academy. Eventually, without having played a professional game with them, he left the team. In the 2017 NA Scouting Grounds, he competed on Team Ocean Drake and was later drafted by Clutch Gaming to play on Clutch Gaming Academy, where Vulcan played support alongside former world champion Piglet. While the team had middling performances in the academy scene, Vulcan and Piglet were briefly called up to play for the LCS team in Summer. They lost both games.

2019 Season

At the beginning of the 2019 season, Vulcan was promoted to become Clutch Gaming's starting support. Despite middling-to-poor performances throughout the regular season and playoffs, Clutch went on a miracle run in the LCS 2019 Regional Finals and managed to qualify for Worlds 2019 as North America's third seed. Although Clutch went 2-2 in the Play-In group stage, they won their tiebreaker and defeated Royal Youth 3-0 to qualify for the main event. Their miracle run ended there as they were drafted into a difficult group and finished the group stage without a single win. During the run, however, Vulcan established himself as a top North American player in his role.

2020 Season

When Clutch rebranded to Dignitas, Vulcan remained on contract. However, Cloud9 had grown interested in the support and offered an unprecedented $1.5 million to buy him out, a transfer that would have significant ramifications for the rest of the offseason.[28] With Vulcan as starting support, Cloud9 had a dominant spring, dropping only two games across the entire split (including playoffs). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, though, MSI was cancelled and the team was unable to compete internationally. Cloud9 continued strong at the beginning of the summer split, but floundered in the back half, relying on ineffective champion picks like Ezreal that led to them being eliminated in playoffs without qualifying for Worlds.

2021 Season

With the new additions of Fudge and Perkz, Cloud9 was revitalized, and again won the spring split. LS believed the team was the strongest team North America had ever sent to an international competition, but the team struggled during MSI 2021, dropping multiple games to wildcard teams including Pentanet.GG and being eliminated in the rumble stage of the event. In summer, Cloud9 did not perform as well, but did manage to qualify for Worlds 2021 as North America's third seed. In the Play-In stage, Cloud9 would once again drop games to wildcard teams, but managed to qualify for the main event. Cloud9 was not expected to perform well, but due to an underperformance by FunPlus Phoenix, the team was able to scrape out of groups with a 2-4 record before being eliminated in the first round of playoffs.

2022 Season

Seeking a change, Vulcan left Cloud9 and joined Evil Geniuses to play alongside touted rookie prospects like jojopyun and Danny. After a mediocre regular season, Evil Geniuses went on a run in spring playoffs and wound up winning, marking Vulcan's third consecutive spring split championship. The team performed to expectations at MSI 2022, beating wildcard teams consistently while losing to major region teams consistently. Ultimately, the team was eliminated in the top 4, one of North America's best international showings in years. Although Evil Geniuses dominated the summer split regular season, they struggled in playoffs. Danny benched himself due to mental health reasons and Vulcan would finish the year playing alongside academy substitution Kaori. The team managed to qualify for Worlds 2022 as North America's third seed. A strong Play-In showing ended with the team defeating MAD Lions 3-0, North America's first ever best of five win over a European team at a major international tournament. The team was seeded into a difficult group and won only one game in group stages.
