Overview

The IPL Face Off: San Francisco Showdown is a special event held by IPL. Four invited teams and four qualified teams will compete in a double elimination tournament for a $40,000 prize pool. The tournament will take place on August 11 and 12th at the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco, California. The games are cast by Red Baron, HatPerson, Jatt, Pluto, Studio, and Jaws. The tournament is played on the Diana Patch, although Diana is disabled since the Asian teams have not been able to play on the patch. ^[1]

Format

Online Qualifier
- 32 team limit
- Single elimination bracket
- Top eight teams move on to a double elimination bracket
- Top four teams qualify for IPL Face Off
Offline Face Off
- Four invited teams and four qualified teams
- Double elimination
- All matches except the finals are best of three
- The grand finals are best of five with the team coming from the Winner's Bracket with a one game lead
