Azure Cats, formally Azure Gaming, was a North American team. It was formed in November 2012 by manager Kevin "AriesLL" Gao and Chun "JT Style" Jiang.
History
Azure Cats, originally known as Azure Gaming was formed to compete in the Season 3 qualifiers, but failed to qualify after they were beaten by Dirtnap Gaming in the loser's bracket semifinals. After the loss, the roster disbanded and reformed out of former members of Cloud 9, Counter Logic Gaming, and Azure Gaming under the name Azure Cats in January 2013.
The new formed team won the second place in the CLG Premier Series, but couldn't be hold together because Nientonsoh and BloodWater got offered spots in different LCS Teams (Team MRN and Good Game University). Shortly afterwards, on February 23, the team announced the merging with FXOpen e-Sports and disbanding of the previous roster.
One week later, both organizations parted ways again and bigfatlp reformed the roster with new players. The team acquired a spot for the Season 3 Summer Promotion through reaching the quaterfinal in the Ranked 5s Qualifier. The team beat DoubleBuff in the Challenger Stage of the Summer Promotion, but lost against Counter Logic Gaming in the Promotion Stage. After the loss, bigfatlp was picked up by CLG and the team disbanded.
